Attention all tailgaters.
Casino Del Sol is hosting the Sol Bowl Tailgate Championship at the University of Arizona Campus Mall beginning at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 7.
The competition starts three hours before the 7:45 kickoff time of the game against Norther Arizona University, and each dish will be personally judged by PY Steakhouse’s executive chef Ryan Clark.
“As a Tucson native, I’m a huge Wildcats fan so tailgating has always been something I look forward to,” said Ryan Clark. “I thought it’d be a fun way to show our support for the home team and let local chefs and foodies boast their game day specialties.”
Do you think you’ve got the tastiest treasure chest of edible goodness before the game? You’ve got to be sure to register beforehand.
You’ve got to be at least 21 years old to enter and there’s some pretty neat prizes given out.
If you’re the winner you’ll join chef Clark on the field during the game to be presented with an official Sol Bowl chef’s apron and $500 in gift cards towards their next tailgate experience from Casino Del Sol (Don’t forget to register to compete).
If you want to compete, but aren’t sure what to make, chef Clark is lending his expert advice with a weekly series of tailgate recipe videos.
