On Friday, Nov. 21, bring your sweet tooth to Loews Ventana Canyon Resort for Southern Arizona’s largest dessert competition, Sweet Charity.
Now in it’s third year, Sweet Charity offers more than 50 desserts, cocktail and wine samplings, live music, a silent auction and entertainment. The silent auction will include a mix of restaurant gift certificates, dessert-themed items, and artwork. You’ll even have the opportunity to preview the next generation of pastry chefs. Students from the Art Institute of Tucson will create and display their best sweets to compete with the city’s top chefs.
Sample an assortment of pastries, cocktails and beer and vote on your favorite recipes. Restaurants could win Best Overall Presentation, Most Creative and the grand prize, Sweetest of the Sweet award.
Tickets are $35 per person. Proceeds go to SAACA’s Creative Arts Therapy Program for veterans and assisted living and retirement communities.
