Tucson Foodie Insiders on Track to Redeem 300% More Vouchers in 2024

Tucson Foodie Insiders on Track to Redeem 300% More Vouchers in 2024

Feb 12, 20242 min read

The members of our Insiders club instantly get hundreds of vouchers to local restaurants worth a whopping $4,500+ per member.

As you can see in the report below, Insiders cashed in 3,558 vouchers (which just come right off the bill) in 2023 for a total savings of $61,504.

That may seem like a lot. It is! It sure makes dining out and supporting local more fun and affordable.

But it’s nothing compared to 2024.

Y’all must be hungry. We’re just six weeks into 2024 and Insiders have already redeemed well over 1,000 vouchers, outpacing 2023 by at least three times.

Here’s a look at where Insiders went in 2023 and how much moolah they saved dining and supporting local.

Congratulations to Transit Tea for claiming the top spot with 269 redemptions!

Runners-up include Rocco’s Little Chicago, Gourmet Girls Gluten-Free Bakery, Penca, Pure Poke & Prep, and Kingfisher Bar & Grill with 80, 76, 77, 76 and 74 redemptions, respectively.

Also of note is the total value redeemed at each restaurant. Coming in first place is Zio Peppe, where 111 Insiders saved $4,420 by redeeming their $40 Zio Peppe voucher. Coming in second place is Penca, where 77 Insiders saved $3,080. In third place is Vero Amore, where 88 Insiders saved $3,520. And in fourth place is Kingfisher, where 74 Insiders saved $2,960.

Another fun statistic is the restaurant with the lowest redemption value per person. That title goes to our friends at Cuppa GoGo. Most vouchers are $10, $20, or $40, while Cuppa GoGo’s gives each Insider $5 off their bill four times per year. Despite the low individual value of their voucher, they racked up 73 redemptions! There must be something in the water…

@Casaveratucson opens Aug. 12 at 7265 N. La Cholla Blvd., bringing regional Mexican cuisine to the former Tamarind space.

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 200 guests with a large patio, and the design draws inspiration from a warm, old-world hacienda. The family behind Casa Vera is also known locally for Guadalajara Original Grill.

The menu highlights flavors and techniques from across Mexico, with tableside salsa service, shareable starters like the Hacienda Board and Scallop Mini Tostadas, plus entrées including Lobster Tetelas and Hojaldrado, a beef picadillo-stuffed poblano inspired by chile en nogada.

Casa Vera will be open daily from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Reservations are available through @opentable or by emailing reservations@casaveratucson.com.
