Now in its 18th year, the Agave Heritage Festival (AHF) returns April 9–12, 2026, continuing Tucson’s springtime tradition of celebrating the deep cultural, ecological, and agricultural significance of the agave plant across the borderlands. Tucson, officially recognized in 2022 as the City of the Century Plant for its long-standing relationship with agave, an emblem of desert resilience, beauty, and cultural continuity, remains the ideal setting for this annual gathering that bridges history, sustainability, and innovation through the lens of agave and the vibrant communities it sustains.

This year’s festival introduces new partnerships and experiences that expand its legacy of storytelling and connection.
