Conscious Eating Under the Stars

Join us for an unforgettable evening of conscious eating at Tohono Chul, a spectacular venue known as one of the World’s Great Botanical Gardens. This unique dining experience, part of the AZ Good Food Forum + Expo aims to connect you to your food, the land, the earth, your body, and even the cosmos.

Under the guidance of two naturopathic doctors, Dr. Jasmine May and Dr. Angela Wojtowicz, you will embark on a journey through the flavors and stories of our locally grown ingredients. As you savor each dish, you will hear from the growers about their regenerative and organic farming practices, deepening your connection to the food on your plate.

Chefs:

  • Sewa Yuli Portela Farias – Indigenous community cook and winner of the 2024 Tucson City of Gastronomy Foodways Keeper Award will be cooking with roasted Pinole from the San Xavier Co-Op Farm.
  • Kelzi Bartholomaei – GUT (Gastonomic Union of Tucson) Chef and owner of the famed Mother Hubbard Cafe will be preparing a dish with native corn and guajillo.
  • David Marks – Executive chef at Tohono Chul Garden Bistro will be crafting a creation with native Tohono O’odham yellow watermelon.
  • Feng Feng Yeh – Chef and artist, founder of the Chinese Chorizo Festival, will be highlighting the flavors of jujube.

  • Dr. Jasmine May – Naturopathic doctor and founder of Healing Spirit Soaks, who reflects on conscious eating as a daily celebration of life’s miracle.
  • Dr. Angela Wojtowicz – A naturopathic doctor with over 15 years of experience, sharing her global healing wisdom and passion for the connection of the physical, mental, and energy bodies.
