Xochitl Gracia

Xochitl Gracia is a social worker supervisor by day and a food blogger at night. Xochitl was born and raised in a small town in Mexico and moved to Tucson to pursue a college degree at the UA. She fell in love with Tucson’s fall season, sunsets, and food scene and decided to stay after she graduated. Xochitl became vegan for the animals and is passionate about sharing her experiences, reviews, and opinions on the subject on her IG page; in which she highlights local vegan eating.

She began writing for Tucson Foodie recently which was both a change and a challenge as she was used to her shorter but impactful captions on her Instagram posts. Xochitl believes in a more equal and peaceful society and she is convinced her social work career overlaps with her vegan social media platform in many ways: being empathic, reducing harm, and serving communities that often need help amplifying their voice.

Xochitl loves creamy lattes, cool weather, crunchy food, and thinks nothing is spicy enough. She tries anything as long as it’s plant-based and she appreciates but is critical of every flavor, texture, and intention in every bite. When Xochitl is not juggling between her 9-5, writing, eating out or posting on her IG page, she stays home and gets cozy with her husband and their fluffy dog.
