TUCSON, AZ (December 6, 2013) – All are welcome to celebrate the official grand opening of the new Maynards Market on Saturday, December 14, from 3-6pm.

The afternoon festivities take place during 2nd Saturdays and will include complimentary hot cider, scoops from Isabella’s Ice Cream Truck, live music from Jimmy Carr and The Awkward Moments, carriage rides, prizes and raffles throughout the event. For added fun, the Southern Arizona Train Museum, in partnership with Cinema La Placita, will show How the Grinch Stole Christmas at 5:30pm.

After a renovation that took about 10 weeks, the new Market opened quietly on All Soul’s Day. Since then, Chef Addam Buzzalini has been collecting guests’ feedback and working with the kitchen staff to complete the vision of the market.

The market menu includes homemade pastries, coffee drinks, original sandwiches and Panini, homemade soups, pizzas, and artisan meats, cheeses and deli salads. A variety of hearty chef-made meals offered in the deli case can be enjoyed on the spot or taken to-go and heated at home. Everything on the market menu is priced below $10, making it an affordable quick service option for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Market is one of only 2 places in Arizona that carries the acclaimed Stumptown Cold Brew coffee, and also features hand-scooped Isabella’s Ice Cream. Other features include a counter for casual wine and beer service, and the wine shop.

Maynards Market is open daily from 7am – 8pm. For the full menu, visit the newly redesigned website at www.maynardstucson.com.
