Tucson finally got what it has been waiting for this Thursday night, perhaps even more so than the much-touted Modern Streetcar: Pizzeria Bianco.
The latest location of the world-famous pizzeria opened at 272 E. Congress Street. Owner Chris Bianco was in good spirits as the restaurant quickly filled up following an announcement this morning that it would open a day earlier than most had assumed. Bianco moved from table to table greeting guests, many of whom had already finished half of one of his award-winning pies by 4:30 p.m.
The menu seen here is an abbreviated version of a laminated menu of which a hostess said was also a work in progress, but these options would be readily available all weekend. Summer hours are currently set as 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays, with 4 to 10 p.m. hours on Fridays through Sundays.
