Oktoberfest is the time of year to celebrate the marriage of King Ludwig I and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Say that three times fast.
You don’t need historical context to enjoy yourself when there’s beer and German food involved, however. Here are some of the Oktoberfests in Tucson for the remainder of 2016.
Savor the authentic biergarten experience at Tucson Hop Shop with tables, benches, and traditional music from Germany. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. will pour their seasonal Oktoberfest and give away beer steins while supplies last. Haus of Brats will supply brats and spätzle, while Old Pueblo Pretzels will provide soft pretzels.

Enjoy special local beers to support the KXCI fundraiser while 4th Avenue restaurants whip up event-exclusive bratwurst dishes. A $15 ticket grants you a logo sample glass, exclusive access to the special local beers, and eight 5-ounce pours for a nickel each.

Casino Del Sol’s Oktoberfest at the pool lawn features the beer and beer truck from German brewery Paulaner with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. Live music, games, and German food will also be available. The 21-and-up event has a $10 entry fee, which includes two Paulaner beers.
