Tucson Tamale Company is getting some national love thanks to a shout-out in People Magazine via famous foodie Alton Brown.
In the Gift Guide: Alton Brown’s Gifts for Foodies, Brown recommends the tamales “because they’re probably the best Western-style tamales I’ve had—and they ship!”
The list of ten items includes mostly kitchen gear, with the two exceptions being the tamales and leaf lard.
Brown has been a major fan of Tucson Tamale Company since visiting March 2015:
Best bite of the day (maybe even week) goes to @tucsontamale. I didn’t order enough. #ABRoadEatsTucson pic.twitter.com/TplIQsMPCJ

Finally … a restaurant that speaks my language. Thanks for feeding my crew dinner, @tucsontamale. pic.twitter.com/7MzL2Fom5K — Alton Brown (@altonbrown) March 23, 2015
