This year, the fifth day of Hanukkah is bringing some heat straight out of the kitchen.

The Young Leadership of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and the Tucson Jewish Community Center are hosting an Iron Chef Latke Competition from 6:30 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 16.

Whether you’d like to compete or just chow down the competitors’ creations, the battle is taking place inside the JCC’s state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen.

The night will be filled with food, drinks, a menorah lighting, and even a dreidel spin-off.

Tickets are $10 per person, and you can register online if you’d like to show off your latke-making skills.

Feel free to let loose without the children hanging around, too, because complimentary childcare is also available with advance notice.

The Tucson Jewish Community Center is located at 3800 E. River Rd. For more information, call (520) 299-3000 and visit tucsonjcc.org to buy tickets.
