To beer, or not to beer, that is the question.
Tucson Fringe Theater Festival is hosting its annual Shakespeare-themed pub crawl “Beer with the Bard” from 1 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.
The festival takes you on a tour of local downtown drinking spots, while being treated to scenes from Shakespeare’s work in a flashmob kind of way.
The crawl gets off on the right foot at Borderlands Brewery, then stops by Tap & Bottle, followed by The Royal Room, and finishes at The Flycatcher on 4th Ave.
Each venue is the host to different Shakespeare plays including King Lear, Macbeth, and several other monologues.
The all-inclusive wristband is $35, which includes four drink tickets, and $10 for the regular wristband that does not include drink tickets. Although, you’re more than welcome to buy your own drinks at each stop.
There will be two tours, with the first starting at 1 p.m. and the next starting at 2 p.m. You can expect to spend at least 30 minutes at each bar/brewery.
