We’re all guilty of doing it. We tend to avoid portions of Broadway because of the inconvenient construction that seems to be taking its time.

Although, Rocco’s Little Chicago Pizzeria is making the most out of it and is taking the gifted opportunity to poke fun at the construction, which has created an obstacle for deep dish pizza lovers.

The pizza joint has been known for displaying creative literature on its marquee sign out near the street, but now they’re turning it up a little bit — like promoting the nearby brightly-colored porta-potty as its new “purple sign.”

If you look closely enough or have visited Rocco’s recently, you’ll notice the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles painted on some concrete tubes, leading the way to a totally tubular pizza party, of course.

Plus, what would a pizza party be without a bodacious skate session?

Last weekend to skate #thetubes!
A slight detour is coming up soon as these go into the ground forever…
Come see us soon while it’s (sorta) easy!

It’s nice to see the pizzeria having fun with the hindrance that’s been sticking around longer than that fruit cake your Uncle gifted you last Christmas.

Speaking of the holiday season, now’s a more than perfect time to continue supporting local, and a warm pizza could do just the trick during this chilly winter season.

Rocco’s Little Chicago Pizzeria is located at 2707 E. Broadway Blvd. For more information, visit roccoslittlechicago.com.
