It’s positioned nicely in Oro Valley with a spacious patio that offers a picturesque view of the Pusch Ridge mountains, and now a new menu awaits to take on your colossal appetite.

If you’ve never stopped by, or perhaps it’s been a while since you’ve popped your head in, Charred Pie focuses on wood-fired pizza, but there’s much more to pick from on the menu — house-made pasta, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other dishes.

Owner Reza Shapouri and chef Luke Smith teamed up to deliver the new dishes to the already stacked menu that many have grown to love. Pineapple Express pizza, anyone?

It’s one of the latest wood-fired pizzas to come smokin’ out of the massive oven that can fit multiple pies at a time. The new pie is topped with mozzarella, fontina, pancetta, wood-fired pineapple, red onion, jalapeno, and finished with cilantro and extra virgin olive oil.

Unlike other Hawaiian-style pizzas you may have eaten in the past, these pineapples are dehydrated beforehand to avoid that runny mess.

Oh, and the cheese that’s topped on the pies is for more than just the pizza.

The Bloody Mary Grilled Cheese really took the spotlight with its cheddar, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, bacon, and horseradish aioli on house-made focaccia. You can’t forget the bloody mary sauce, too.

It’s a combo that clearly shouldn’t be overlooked.

“Make sure to dip every bite in the bloody mary sauce,” said Reza Shapouri, owner of Charred Pie. “Also, the bread is made in-house and is the same exact dough we use for our wood-fired pizza.”

If you’ve got room for more, and plan to tackle the dessert menu, you won’t be disappointed. There’s plenty to choose from, like Flourless Chocolate Cake, Triple Chocolate Cake, and Sugar Cookie Cheesecake Bar.

Additionally, the blend of cocktails, wine, and beer on hand makes for a perfect one-two punch when it comes to completing your visit to Charred Pie.
