"‘Tis the season for giving back to those who have given us so much."

In honor of the passing of a longtime friend, Lt. Colonel Michael Benson, Jonathan’s Cork is introducing a brand new tradition to the restaurant.

Beginning on Pearl Harbor Day, Tuesday, December 7, any active or retired military member will receive a 10 percent discount on their food and beverage order on the second Tuesday of each month.

“This is something we have been thinking about doing for a while,” said Jonathan Landeen, chef and owner. “It seems fitting that we begin our salute to the military in honor of our friend Michael Benson on this special day of remembrance.”

Michael Paul Benson was a decorated war veteran, a life-long photographer, and an archeologist. He was commissioned in 1981 in the US Air Force where he served as an Air Battle Manager on the E-3 Sentry (AWACS).

“‘Tis the season for giving back to those who have given us so much,” said Landeen.

Jonathan’s Cork is located at 6350 E. Tanque Verde Rd. For more information, visit jonathanscork.com or call (520) 296-1631.
