Main Gate Square is kickin’ off its Holiday Boulevard with participating local restaurants & cafes from noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 19.
Throughout the afternoon, you can take a stroll around while soaking in all of the unique decorations, including Santa’s snow globe, Santa’s sleigh, a poinsettia tree, and all of the garlands and wreaths donning many patios and businesses along the boulevard. Also, the Tucson Girls Chorus will be belting out holiday tunes nearby Santa’s snow globe.
There’s going to be a few food and drink-related activities happening on Main Gate Square, too. Whether it’s something warm you’re craving or a crafty activity, you’ll find some fun options at the following restaurants and cafes.
If you’re not having any luck with constructing a gingerbread house, why not try something a you can actually enjoy eating afterward. The popular dining spot on the corner of Park and University is selling Cookie Decorating Kits for $25 per kit.
These are actually sold online but stop by the restaurant anyway because they’re planning to relocate off of Main Gate Square in Spring 2022.

The spot tends to be a popular party spot for students but they’re toning it down a bit for the Holiday Boulevard with a hot cocoa station from 1 – 5 p.m. I mean, there’s still going to be beer and cocktails, but at least there’s something for the kids.

The wizarding world of Harry Potter has landed at The Scented Leaf, and by its side is some Harry Potter Butter Beer Tea. You’ll be able to grab one of these themed beverages during the Holiday Boulevard event — it’d be ridiculoso if you didn’t.

The cocktail, coffee, and dining spot will be having a hot chocolate bar, board games, and a raffle to win a game “Ticket to Ride.” If you plan it out just right, Snakes & Lattes recently unveiled its new daily Happy Hour from 3 – 6 p.m. — it may make for a more competitive board game experience.
