Since its grand opening in October 2019, Decibel Coffee Works has been known for its deliciously warm coffee to those just passing through the MSA Annex. In 2021, they set out on a new venture — adding a breakfast and lunch menu.
However, on Monday, February 28, Decibel Coffee Works announced that it’s closing its kitchen, but keeping its bakery open and adding house-made ice cream to the menu.
The west side coffee spot shared the following on Instagram:
“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that our kitchen is closed as of today. The economic reality of our concept couldn’t be ignored any longer.”
Although, don’t let the bad news produce a dark cloud over the good news. Decibel is keeping its bakery open and adding ice cream for those looking for something on the sweeter side. Decibel’s baker, Dana Rengel, has been fiddling with the new flavors and is excited to get things goin’ just in time for summer.
“Thank you to our kitchen staff for working so hard over the last year to make our food delicious and giving us a fighting chance at this.”
Decibel Coffee Works is located at 267 S. Avenida Del Convento. For more information, call (520) 838-0750 or visit decibelcoffeeworks.com.
