"We hope this will inspire families to get out and enjoy each other’s company."

It’s been a big year for the Si Charro! restaurant group. The first concept, El Charro Café, is celebrating its 100th anniversary all year long, a couple of the restaurants and chefs have been featured on national television shows, and now they’re turning the focus to “family time.”

Beginning on Wednesday, June 1 and running until Thursday, September 8, several (nearly all) Si Charro! concepts are offering freebies to the younger family members — free meals for those under 10 years old.

Now, some may disagree but a grumpy or hangry kid can be the worst company ever, and this could be one of the easiest ways to stifle the young lad’s cavernous growls (coming from their stomach, of course).

“It’s been a rough couple of years — especially for families,” said Ray Flores, CEO of Si Charro!. “So, in honor of our 100th anniversary, our family decided to do something to encourage parents and kids to enjoy dining together. We are bringing back our ‘Kids under 10 Eat Free’ promotion.”

Here are all the important details

This summer offer is available Sunday through Wednesday for dine-in only at all El Charro Café locations, The Monica, Charro Steak & Del Rey, and Barrio Charro. For each paying adult/entrée, two kids under 10 years old can eat for free from the kids menu.

“We hope this will inspire families to get out and enjoy each other’s company,” said Flores.
