Geesh, it’s summer. In other words, it feels as hot as the inside of a pizza oven.

I mean, it’s not that hot outside (wood fire ovens usually get things burnin’ between 850 and 900 degrees) but sometimes stepping outside feels like you’ve opened the oven to take a peek at some cookies.

If you’re sticking around town during the summer, Proof Artisanal Pizza & Pasta is offering a Summer Staycation Special for those looking to eat on the cheap.

The summer deal happening over at St. Philip’s Plaza consists of two glasses of house wine, two salads (your choice of a simple or caesar), and any pizza for only $25. That’s amore.

The deal is yours all summer long and will be available daily. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Proof, which opened back in 2018 across the plaza patio from Union Public House and Reforma, has a menu featuring different kinds of artisanal pizza, bruschetta, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more. Plus, all of the dough, sauce, soup, and mozzarella are made in-house.
