Vitality Bowls, the superfood café specializing in açaí bowls, smoothies, grain bowls, salads, and wraps, recently announced the opening of its first Tucson location on Friday, May 19. The new spot will be operated by local resident and owner Wendy Alexonis-Gose, and business partner Leah Ward.

“I’m thrilled to introduce Vitality Bowls to Tucson and share our delicious and clean food options with the community,” said Alexonis-Gose, who also owns six F45 Training locations in Tucson. “Our broad menu offers something for everyone, and we look forward to becoming a go-to destination for healthy food. We’ve generated incredible buzz and success in operating our F45 Training businesses in Tucson, and I am confident that Vitality Bowls will be an additional benefit for fitness enthusiasts and all community members in the area.”

The new café is located at 2959 N. Swan Rd. in the Synergy Plaza — near Savaya Coffee — and will have access to the patio for outdoor dining. The restaurant will be the second Vitality Bowls location in the state of Arizona, joining a café in Gilbert.

“It’s all very exciting,” said Ward. “This is both my business partner’s and my first time ever diving into the food industry. We have definitely learned a lot and have so much more respect for all business owners who have made the food industry their careers.”

What’s on the menu?

Vitality Bowls offers a variety of tasty options, such as the Dragon Bowl (featuring pitaya, pineapple, coconut milk, goji berries, and bee pollen), Green Bowl (with Graviola, strawberries, kale, dates, spirulina, and hemp seeds), and their signature Vitality Bowl (with organic açaí, strawberries, banana, organic granola, and honey).

In addition to açaí bowls and smoothies, the brand boasts a diverse menu that includes warm and savory items including salads, grain bowls, wraps, and toasts loaded with all-natural, grass-fed and sous-vide prepared meats, nutritional ingredients, and a wide range of superfood toppings.

Plus, the Chimichurri Steak and Potato Bowl is made with super greens, grass-fed steak, grains, roasted potato, roasted tomato, radish, and chimichurri.

Vitality Bowls also offers signature cold-pressed juices and energy and immunity-boosting shots made with ginger, turmeric, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. Fun fact: All açaí bowls and smoothies are prepared without any ingredient fillers like ice, frozen yogurt, or artificial preservatives.

The new Purple Passion smoothie features a blend of pineapple, coconut, mango, blue spirulina, banana, pitaya, and apple juice. Additional smoothies being offered include the Groovy Guava and Piña Colada.
