A local hot dog stand, which got its start in 1989, really made a name for itself in Tucson, popping in various locations around town like the parking lot near TD’s Showclub on Speedway Boulevard.
One day, the stand vanished. However, in late October 2023, Brucedog returned as a brick-and-mortar at 5975 W. Western Way Circle #109 — the strip mall that also houses Queen Donuts and Broaster Chicken.
Bruce was present during the Grand Opening to cut the ribbon.
With the slogan “Giving ’em the Weenie Since 1989,” Brucedog is back at it, serving Vienna all-beef hot dogs, corn dogs, and Bruce-Style Nachos (chips smothered in cheese, veggies, hummus, chili beans, diced hot dogs, and Fakin’ Bacon).
It’s everything the food cart was with a new dining room and permanent location.
The restaurant’s current hours of operation are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, and closed on Monday.
Brucedog is located at 5975 W, Western Way Circle # 110. For more information, follow Brucedog on Facebook and Instagram.
