In 2022, Hey Chav, the owner of the east side Donut Wheel, was unable to renew the lease in the space the shop had been in for more than 20 years. However, in August of last year, we found out that the doughnut shop was going to reopen in a different spot about a mile away.

The time has come and Donut Wheel is hosting a Grand Opening on Saturday, December 9 as K Donut Wheel. The additional letter in the name — the “K” — is Chav’s nickname.

The new location can be found at 2775 S. Wilmot Rd. and it’s actually a brand-new building that was built specifically for K Donut Wheel. Chav had a lot of requests to have a drive-thru and this spot comes equipped with a nifty grab-and-go window transaction service (a fancy term for a drive-thru window).

They’ll also be serving boba tea and espresso at the new location.

The original spot that Donut Wheel moved out of on 2630 S. Kold Rd. is going to become a Starbucks. Have you ever heard of one of those coffee shops?
