Taco Giro has opened a new location at 8320 N. Thornydale Rd. #110, which is right next to Dominick’s Real Italian, The Blacktop Grill, and Barnfire Mesquite Grill. The official grand opening is Friday, February 16 and the restaurant’s regular hours of operation are 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.
The locally-owned chain has five other restaurants across Tucson, Sierra Vista, and Casa Grande bringing Sonoran and Tampiqueño cuisine to the table. They pride themselves on their impressive seafood selection that includes ceviche, pulpo (octopus), and the Torre El Giro — a tower of shrimp, octopus, scallops, cucumber, tomato, and more.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday – Friday, the restaurant serves lunch specials, too. Each meal is $10.99 and includes the likes of a two-enchilada plate, chile relleno, a shrimp cocktail, and a carne asada torta. Dinner specials are running rampant on the menu as well at just $13.99 each.
Plus, Taco Giro serves Mexican- and American-style breakfasts, including Medio Jamon (traditional ham and eggs breakfast), nearly 10 omelets, rib eye steak, and Pancakes Con Tocino (three pancakes, two eggs, and your choice of bacon or sausage links).
For those in the mood for some boozy indulgence, savor their renowned michelada or explore a variety of cocktails and beers.
If you’re seeking attention from other folks dining in, or if you’re just super thirsty and hungry at the same time, order the Fiesta De Cervezas — party beers. This monumental item comes with six beers, a platter of mixed seafood, and chips.
The other Tucson Taco Giro locations are at 620 N. Grande Ave., 2750 W. Valencia Rd., and 1402 S. Craycroft Rd., and then for out-of-towners, check out the Sierra Vista location at 2097 E. Fry Blvd. and 139 W. Cottonwood Ln. in Casa Grande.
