Same coffee cart, same location, new ownership.
In May of this year, Red Captain Coffee — the popular coffee cart at 4004 N. Stone Ave. — announced its permanent closure on the corner near Roger Road.
Well, say goodbye to your caffeine withdrawals because Red Captain Coffee is back in business. Shane O’Brien has taken the reins as the new owner of the coffee cart, following in the footsteps of the original owner, Ramses Trujillo.
“I am excited to have this opportunity to continue serving the community that Ramses built over the years while partnering with Hem and Her Bridal to provide a space for people to gather and hang out that isn’t work or home (their “third place”),” said O’Brien.
At the moment, they’ll be open from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday – Saturday. Then, once the weather starts cooling down, O’Brien plans to keep the coffee shop open until 7 p.m. each day.
Before it’s closure in May, Red Captain Coffee served pastries from the local vegan bakery, Houlden’s Rise Above. Right now, they’re currently partnering with Cal’s Bakeshop — the local baker known for putting his unique spin on baked classics.
Red Captain Coffee is located at 4004 N. Stone Ave. For more information, follow Red Captain Coffee on Instagram and Facebook.
