Attention Oro Valley residents: There’s a new brunch spot in town!
The space at 9630 N. Oracle Rd. Suite #110 has gotten a full-on makeover, and the DiBella’s Brunch N’ Booze team is preparing to welcome everyone in on Sunday, December 8. Decked with brightly-colored walls, floral decorations, incredible views on the patio, and an overall warm environment, the family-run restaurant will be open daily from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Co-owner Calye DiBella, who previously managed the FireTruck Brewing location for a few years before it closed in August of this year, is excited about what she and her family (her husband and kids) have done to the place.
Before managing at FireTruck Brewing, Calye worked at Growler USA in the same building, so she’s had years of getting to know the community, which is just as excited about her family’s new venture.
“I’ve been here for so long,” she said. “I’ve worked with all the golf courses near us and apartment complexes and such. So, lately, they’ve been keeping an eye out, wondering what was going on in here. They caught the name on the door, and they were like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ Some of them called me and texted me, asking ‘Did you buy it? Did you buy it?’ So, it’s pretty cool.”
The menu highlights include a unique take on the Monte Cristo sandwich with five flavor variations.
“Our specialty is the Monte Cristo,” Calye added. “It’s something the whole family enjoys and my favorite is the Berry Delight (fresh fruit and strawberry cream cheese topped with whipped cream).”
“Also, the Green Chile Pulled Pork is going to be our ‘lunch specialty’ and that’s something my mom has been making for us for all of my life. When making the menu, it was something we had to add to it. It’s just so good.”
Now, the moment many of you have been waiting for: let’s talk about the involvement of booze at DiBella’s Brunch N’ Booze!
The restaurant is starting with five to six beers on tap and plans to expand to 11, offering rotating brews and drink specials.
“When it was Growler USA, we had 101 taps, and then with FireTruck, we had 48 taps,” said Calye. “We’re only starting off with a few beers on tap to kind of get the feel of what people actually want in here, instead of just deciding for everybody.”
A drink that’s destined to be a popular choice is DiBella’s Green Chile Michelada — made with Uncle Bear Brewery’s Green Chile Lager and spiced up just enough to tickle your ears.
They’ll also feature spiked creamers and an array of flavored cream options for coffee lovers.
“Booze up your coffee,” said Calye, excitedly. “We’re using SugarLand Spiked Cream — it’s basically an alcoholic coffee creamer. We’re going to be rotating flavors every month we’ll have a new flavor. So for December, it’s going to be Banana Pudding.”
In the near future, Calye and the crew plan to offer weekly specials. For the first week, they’re starting with a special caramel macchiato, and in the coming weeks, keep an eye out for a rotating beer of the month, spiked creamers, and non-alcoholic creams.
With its central location and strong connections to nearby businesses, the family is confident DiBella’s will quickly become a neighborhood favorite.
“We hope everyone bears with us this December as we open and go through the motions of being a new business, and hopefully making some honest mistakes that will teach us along the way,” said Calye, “We welcome everyone to let managers and staff know how everything was and to speak up if there’s something you don’t like — or even better, BRAG when it’s great!”
