Angie’s Lobster, “Home of the $9.99 Maine Lobster Roll,” is opening its first location in Tucson on Wednesday, December 18 at 110 S. Wilmot Rd. — right there on the corner of Broadway and Wilmot.
Operated by husband-and-wife team Tony and Roushan Christofellis, who are also the founders of the Salad and Go drive-thru concept that was recently sold, Angie’s Lobster began in the Phoenix area in 2022.
The drive-thru lobster joint is an ode to Tony’s mother (Angie) who moved from Greece to Boston, Massachusetts and loved fried clams, broiled scrod, and lobster, of course. She even owned her own restaurants at some point in New England before passing away in March 2020.
“Angie’s Lobster was created to honor our mother and ensure her legacy lives on — with love, courage, compassion, servant leadership, energy, fight, and fun,” Tony added.
While many lobster rolls cost $22 or more, Angie’s Lobster is “built on chasing efficiencies and vertical integration.”
Today, the company sources its lobster off the boats from a wharf they own in Maine and then transports them 35 miles to their processing facility, where the meat is steamed and flash-frozen before being shipped to Arizona.
In Maine, they also manage a self-owned trucking fleet to control the entire supply chain from ocean to plate.
“Lobster is a luxury food that only a certain group of people can enjoy with frequency. For front-line workers and their families, it is a yearly special treat. It should be affordable for them to eat every week. While others chase revenue, we chase efficiency,” said Tony, emphasizing that owning the supply chain keeps prices low and wages high (team members start at $18.51 per hour in Tucson).
Angie’s Lobster serves only wild-caught Maine lobster — no langoustine (Norwegian lobster) or warm-water lobster. They also offer other wild-caught seafood: North Atlantic Snow Crab, New England Fried Clam, Mexican colossal shrimp, and a North Atlantic Cod Fried Sandwich.
All rolls and sandwiches are served à la carte or as meals with fries, Angie’s signature sauce, and a drink.
Angie’s Lobster will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m..
The new drive-thru location also offers a walk-up option with QR code self-ordering and cashless transactions, making it easier than ever to grab fresh Maine lobster and a line-up of wild-caught seafood on the go.

On Friday, December 13, Tucson’s first Angie’s Prime Grill opened to the public at 2574 N. Campbell Ave. — the former Frankie’s South Philly Cheesesteaks location.
Over at Angie’s Prime Grill, the menu features grilled-to-order prime meats — USDA Prime top sirloin steak, antibiotic, and hormone-free chicken, and wild-caught Mexican colossal shrimp. As mentioned earlier, it’s all available at affordable prices, and Angie’s USDA Prime steak is butchered on-site.
