In a world where technology is always on the rise, staying up to date is a survival skill. From gadgets that get smarter by the day to software that reshapes how we work, the future is now!
It’s a new year and there’s new tech at Fentonelli’s Pizzeria & Bar located on the corner of Ina and Oracle Roads.
The team recently debuted its new, technology-forward service model along with a condensed menu, both of which are meant to streamline and improve the guest experience. Also, Fentonelli’s will retain its entire staff, who all have undergone training.
As of Monday, January 13, the restaurant started using a counter service that uses self-ordering via QR codes. This system gives folks more flexibility in placing and changing orders. On the staff side of things, it gives them more time to focus on better interactions with guests.
“The new system is more flexible and accommodating,” said Tyler Fenton, Chef and Owner at Fentontelli’s Pizzeria & Bar. “Transitioning to QR ordering is about empowering our guests and improving efficiency.”
When you walk in, head to the end of the bar, where a staff member is waiting at an “Order Here” station with menus. You can start with anything — drinks, appetizers, or a full meal — and open a tab before receiving a table number with a QR code.
Then, find a seat! Pick any spot that’s striking your fancy. There’s a QR code on each table so you can add to your order or make changes.
“It eliminates the wait for technical aspects like order inputting or closing checks, allowing our team to prioritize hospitality and connection,” Tyler added. “Guests gain control over their dining experience while still receiving the attentive service they value.”
So, with the self-ordering and condensed menu, Fentonelli’s staff can “focus on guest satisfaction rather than just service.”
“Our new menu reflects what our guests love most and allows us to focus on delivering consistent, high-quality dishes while simplifying the kitchen’s workflow,” said Tyler.
The new menu at Fentonelli’s features fan favorites including the rigatoni pasta with vodka sauce, mozzarella sticks, and pizzas — cheese, pepperoni, and fennel sausage with roasted red peppers.
There’s also a new cocktail menu with drinks like the Amalfi Margarita, Sinatra Martini, and the often-requested Espresso Martini.
“Streamlining the menu makes for quicker service, enhances the guest experience, and gives our team more time for meaningful interactions,” said Tyler.
Fentonelli’s will still offer take-out service — orders can be made at the counter or online.
The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday – Sunday.
