Who has two thumbs and loves sweets? This guy! Also, if the one you love is fond of sweets, treats, and baked goodies, it may be wise to head over to La Baguette Parisienne as soon as possible.
The French-inspired bakery at 7851 E. Broadway Blvd. (not to be confused with La Baguette on Prince and Campbell, the bakery adjacent to Ghini’s French Caffe) offers decades-old recipes as well as newer, limited-run creations like Valentine’s Day-themed cookies, cupcakes, and brownies.
During the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, there’s a scratch-made brownie box — two Reese’s brownies and two “sprinkle-studded beauties.”
They also have new cupcakes on the shelf!
Made with “love and a little bit of frosting,” each chocolate or vanilla cupcake is filled with a sweet cherry or raspberry filling. Toss a couple of Sweethearts candies on top of these cupcakes and it’s love at first sight.
Mario and Francois Marini opened La Baguette Parisienne in 1983. The bakery has been a neighborhood staple for fresh bread, tasty pastries, and sweet confections.
In 2022, Mario and Francois retired, and soon after Kim Ireland and EJ Marx took over — keeping the bakery alive on the east side.
Beyond serving to the public, La Baguette Parisienne also provides daily deliveries to local cafes, restaurants, and food trucks, supporting Tucson’s globally-recognized food scene.
The bakery is closed on Monday but you can make plans to go any time between 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday.
La Baguette Parisienne is located at 7851 E. Broadway Blvd. For more information, call (520) 296-1711, visit labaguetteparisienne.com, or follow La Baguette Parisienne on Instagram.
