Best Brunch Spot in Arizona, According to Yelp Elites

Yelp Elites have pounded the pavement and scoured the map, rounding up their favorite brunch spots in each state.

So, how the heck did they gather all of this info and come to conclusions? Yelp Elites first identified businesses in the breakfast and brunch categories, then ranked those spots based on the volume and ratings of reviews given by Yelp Elite Squad members.

All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of March 4, 2025. When available, all businesses have a passing health score as of March 4, 2025.

Here in Arizona, the local restaurant Barista Del Barrio is this year’s “Best Brunch Spot” in Arizona.

Here’s what they had to say:

“A small coffee cart that has expanded into so much more. Yelpers love their overstuffed breakfast burritos, and they have a wide variety of fillings and toppings so you can customize your order.”

So, in all of Arizona, including the massive number of restaurants in Phoenix, a local Tucson staple took the number one spot! Also, Barista Del Barrio is just one of several incredible brunch spots in Tucson.

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
