HungerWalk returns Sept. 27 during Hunger Action Month, bringing the community together to fight hunger in Southern Arizona.
Participants can walk at Sam Lena Park at Kino Sports Complex, including a rare route through the Food Bank’s Country Club warehouse, or at Historic Canoa Ranch in Green Valley. A virtual option is also available for those who prefer to join from anywhere.
Early registration runs through Aug. 18 with discounted early bird registration pricing.
The event runs from 8 to 11 a.m. and offers a family-friendly atmosphere filled with energy and purpose. Every step helps the Community Food Bank provide healthy food to neighbors in need.
Organizers encourage walkers to bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy the morning while making an immediate impact.
Full event details and registration are available at communityfoodbank.org/hungerwalk.
Those unable to attend can still support hunger relief efforts year-round. Tucson Foodie highlights related initiatives like Stamp Out Hunger and Canstruction, which also benefit the Community Food Bank. Whether walking, donating, or spreading the word, each action strengthens the local fight against hunger. As organizers note, “Every step you take helps a neighbor eat today.”
