On Friday, Nov. 14, Tucson Foodie will host a private barrel release party at Whiskey Del Bac from 5-8 p.m. at the distillery on North Forbes Boulevard. The limited cask-strength whiskey features a flavor profile built for smoky Southwest nights.

At the event, guests can sample the Tucson Foodie x Whiskey Del Bac collaboration and explore the distillery’s mesquite-driven style.
Tasting notes for the new single malt features a nose of of chocolate-covered cherries, oak, and mesquite smoked vanilla on the nose. The palate drips in mesquite BBQ, Mayan chocolate, and tres leches cake. Cask strength amplifies those flavors, so every sip lands rich, dessert-like, and smoky.
Bottle sales stay very limited, so pre-ordering secures a spot. Order ahead of the event online here, then pick up the pre-ordered bottles at a dedicated table during the event.
To match the bold whiskey, Nick’s Sari-Sari food truck will roll in with Filipino comfort food.

DJ Hans Hutchison will keep the patio moving with a set designed for slow sippers and serious whiskey fans. Guests can snack, mingle, and enjoy the distillery’s desert setting while they taste the new release.
This party also supports Tucson neighbors who need a little extra help.
During the event, Tucson Foodie and Whiskey Del Bac will host a food and donation drive for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Guests can bring nonperishable food items to support the regional hunger relief network.
Volunteers will collect donations on-site and route them through the food bank’s distribution system.
Guests can also bring donations for pets at Pima Animal Care Center, or PACC. Tucson Foodie regularly highlights creative partnerships that support PACC, from dog-washing events to dog-friendly ice cream shops that donate a portion of sales.
Tucson Foodie and Whiskey Del Bac will deliver the collected pet items to the shelter after the event.
Tucson Foodie Insiders enjoy an additional perk at this release. When you pre-order a collaboration bottle, use your Insider password at checkout to save $10 on your purchase.
