Interfaith Community Services invites Tucson residents to fight hunger during the February Lotsa Pasta food drive. The month-long effort supports ICS food banks across the city.
The Lotsa Pasta food drive runs Feb. 1 through Feb. 28. Organizers aim to collect thousands of boxes of pasta and cans of pasta sauce for local families.
The Lotsa Pasta food drive focuses on pasta because it offers an affordable, family-friendly meal option. Pasta feeds a family of four for under $5 and requires minimal equipment.
ICS food banks rely on pasta and pasta sauce as staple items. Donations help ensure families access nutritious meals without refrigeration or special preparation.
Community members can drop off donations at multiple ICS locations throughout February. Anyone can participate, including businesses, schools, faith groups, and neighborhood organizations.
Donation locations include:
• Northwest Office and Food Bank, 2820 W. Ina Road, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8-11 a.m. Friday and Saturday
• Eastside food drop-off, 8701 E. Old Spanish Trail; scheduled drop-offs required
• Amazon donation option through the ICS Amazon Lotsa Pasta Wishlist
ICS CEO Tom McKinney emphasized the importance of collective action.
“Behind every donation is a family sitting down to a warm meal,” McKinney said. “Lotsa Pasta reminds us that compassion can be simple, and that when we give together, we help ensure no one in our community has to face hunger alone.”
Interfaith Community Services has served Pima County since 1985. The organization provides food banks, rent assistance, workforce development, and support for older adults.
