Every month, the Tucson Doobie community is discovering new strains, revisiting old favorites, and passing around “you have to try this” recommendations. High Notes is our monthly roundup of what stood out — from what our team couldn’t stop talking about to what our members actually enjoyed, smoked, sipped, or stashed. No hype, no rankings — just what genuinely hit for us this month.
I’m enjoying Wyld’s Boysenberry 1:1:1 THC:CBD:CBN gummies, designed for rest and relaxation. Each gummy has 10 mg of each cannabinoid I had been using their more popular Elderberry gummies (with 10 mg THC + just 5 mg CBN) on nights when I needed a solid 8 hours but was worried I wouldn’t fall asleep easily. I don’t think the Boysenberrry flavor is new, but only the Elderberry was carried at my dispensary of choice until recently, so when I discovered the Boysenberry with double the CBN and the CBD added, I had to give it a try. Tastes just as good (one of the best tasting gummies on the market in my opinion) and gives me a deeper sleep for sure.
I’ve been enjoying the IO Extracts Live Resin AIO (all in one) Vapes a lot. The “pull” is super smooth and the effects are just what I wanted. I recently tried the Berry White strain, it’s a hybrid cross of White Widow and Blueberry, and it tastes fantastic. They’re available at NatureMed.
I also love the IO Extracts x Cannabombz THC Salve. It’s full spectrum with 2500mg of THC and easy to apply, with no mess (apply straight from the tube!). I went a little too deep in my yoga practice and this salve eased my muscle aches. It’s amazing how cannabis can help with topical applications like this. It’s available at NatureMed.
I’m a fan of OG Kush and I recently grabbed some Larry OG from Halo Cannabis at the D2 Dispensary Oracle Road location. The strain is a cross of OG Kush and SFV Kush.
The buds had good bag appeal and the smoke was really relaxing and just what I needed. The aroma was a bit piney, the effect was mind calming and body relaxing, it was a great way to unwind!
Lately I’ve been really into Ghost OG by VARS — something about the OG blend just hits right. It keeps me calm but focused, grounded without zoning out.
Perfect for vision boards, planning, and actually following through on the ideas instead of just thinking about them. You can pick this one up at Prime Leaf and honestly… it’s a favorite.
I like the turn vape in Unicorn Party because it is relaxing since there’s no flying cherry to burn me, furniture or clothes. It’s nice for chillaxin before bed, or hanging with chill folks. I felt creative and laughed at some of the stories I made up. Unfortunately I didn’t write them down, and I can’t remember them.
I was trying to take a break from disposable vapes, but with the speed of my job I tend to need a breather right around lunch hour. I caved on Wednesday and ran to Nirvana dispensary. Not sure which one to buy, I asked the budtender for recommendations. They suggested the Clean Concentrates vape in the Jellysickle strain. It was just what I needed to relax and lighten the mood. It tasted great and reminded me of grape jelly. It’s smooth, and a couple hits go a long way.
Productive headies, unite! Lemon, pine, grass and floral notes out of the jar, fruity terp clouds coming through at low temps. The Rainbow Larry Live Hash Rosin from Halo Cannabis is a clutch strain for keeping yard work productive and easy on my back!
This is the Boutiq Switch, which I picked up at Prime Leaf. I love it for its variety of flavors — especially the ability to take a multi-hit of all three concentrates at once for a party vibe. With its futuristic design, I feel like I’m taking a hit in 3005.
