‘Dine Out For Safety’ With SACASA April 22

Apr 6, 20151 min read

Who will you dine out for? That’s the question the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA) is asking through their annual fundraising event that seeks to raise awareness of and benefit those affected by sexual assault.

Dine Out For Safety returns to Tucson for it’s 19th year on Wednesday, April 22 with a number of local restaurants participating. The restaurants will donate up to 20% of sales to SACASA to raise community awareness of the organization and sexual violence as a whole.

A selection of the growing list of participating restaurants includes Kingfisher, Gourmet Girls, Vero Amore, Wilko, Noble Hops, Jackson Tavern, and The Coronet. 100% of proceeds from the fundraiser will remain in the community to maintain programs supporting survivors. To view the full list of participating restaurants, visit dineoutforsafety.org/tucson.

The Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault is a nonprofit community-based organization that aims to provide education and support for individuals and families who’ve experienced sexual trauma. Dine Out For Safety is held every year in April as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Tucson’s barbecue options range from food trucks to full-service dining rooms. Some focus on classic Texas-style plates with butcher paper and simple sides. Others experiment with fusion dishes that blend barbecue with Mexican and Southwestern flavors. This variety gives diners plenty of options, whether they want a quick lunch or a sit-down meal.
