Green Chile Beer & Ice Cream at Tucson Tamale

Green Chile Beer & Ice Cream at Tucson Tamale

Sep 18, 20141 min read

Sure, September is more than half over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still take advantage of Tucson Tamale’s September celebration of the ubiquitous pepper.

All month long, Tucson Tamale is featuring a number of green chile goodies from vendors they’ve partnered with. Products are available at both locations and include:

  • Green Chile Ale from Iron John’s Brewing Company. This green chile beer embraces the hot, fruity character of the Anaheim chile seared over mesquite charcoal. The addition of concentrated apple cider to a base of Pilsner malt lightly smoked over apple wood chips, allows the full flavor of the roasted chiles to be expressed in this beer.
  • Green Chile Ice Cream from Isabella’s Ice Cream. Ice cream? Yep. Try the Salted Caramel ice cream with fire-roasted Hatch green chiles. It’s sweet and creamy with a hint of chile spice.
  • Green Corn Tamales. Treat yourself to this seasonal favorite! We’ll have them hot and ready to eat in-shoppe, or available frozen for you to make at home. (Vegan option available.)

For more information, visit Tucson Tamale Company on the web or keep up with them on the Tucson Tamale Company Facebook page.
