A new bakery and cafe is opening on the southeast corner of Broadway and Wilmot. Kneaders Bakery & Cafe will open Friday, July 17 at 135 South Wilmot Road. The first 100 guests will receive a free order of French Toast.

Specializing in European hearth breads baked fresh daily and healthy menu items, Kneaders first opened in Utah in 1997. Currently, 10 locations in Arizona exist, including stores in Yuma, Phoenix, Gilbert, Tempe, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Avondale, Tempe, and Surprise. The Wilmot store will be Kneaders first Tucson location and Arizona’s eleventh.

Kneaders features a variety of soups, salads, pastries, sandwiches, pies, and and assortment of fresh baked breads including:

  • French Country Sourdough
  • Ciabatta
  • Rustic Rye
  • Hazelnut 12 Grain
  • Honey Wheat

The Tucson location also includes a retail shop for gift baskets, online ordering capabilities, and a drive-thru.

The bakery and cafe will be open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 10pm. According to the Kneaders website, most stores are closed on Sundays to allow for managers, partners, and employees to rest and spend time with their families.
