When the munchies come rollin’ in fast, Daniel Scordato of Uptown Burger has a menu that can cure just about any cravings. The restaurant opened a couple of years ago in the Foothills at 6370 N. Campbell Ave. #160.
When compared to the fine dining menu of Vivace (Scordato’s other restaurant concept), located just a couple of minutes away, Uptown Burger’s menu is simple but indeed loaded. There are six burgers, two sandwiches, a few salads, fries, sweet potato fries, and soft-serve gelato for dessert. Plus, craft beer and a stellar wine selection are a nice touch.
Let’s chat about the Sonoran Burger, though.
This burger wears a crown of roasted poblano, Oaxaca cheese, creamy jalapeño, corn, Cholula relish, shredded lettuce, and avocado, which is all sandwiched between a brioche bun. When Scordato was interviewed back in 2023, he added that the freshly grilled corn adds “a lot of flavor and a little crunch.”
The Nashville Chicken sandwich is another solid option if you’re not in a beefy mood.
Like other sandwiches in the Nashville style, this beast of a dish includes crispy chicken, coleslaw, dill pickles, Nashville glaze, Münster cheese, and Uptown Sauce — all of which are in a brioche bun. Grab some extra napkins for this one!
