Time Market Launches Website With Daily Specials, Menus & Locally-Focused Blog

Jan 5, 20162 min read

Gone are the days of holding up the line while you silently debate between the day’s sandwich special and a slice of your favorite wood-fired pizza at Time Market.

The University Avenue staple recently launched their first website, giving customers the opportunity to preview breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour menus, the pastry selection and, most importantly, the daily specials.

The most recent addition to the website is a locally-focused blog.

“Our Blog provides an opportunity for us to share in-depth about products and purveyors – the kinds of things that we wish we could share with every guest,” said owner Bree Wilke. “We’re very passionate about quality in foods and there are wonderful stories and some surprising information that you find being in the business. You can expect short articles about how our bread is made, our seafood standards, outstanding product pairings, entertaining ideas, and so on.”

In addition, Time Market announced the arrival of a monthly newsletter that will highlight “rotating featured roasters, new produce and grocery items, and restaurant specials.” In other words, if you won’t be checking the menu every day when lunchtime hunger kicks in (like the rest of us), you can opt for a monthly digest to stay in the loop.

The website also offers the option to purchase $25 gift cards, a welcome present for any local food-lover.

“We’ve made so many changes in the last 3 years and we’re eager to share what we’re up to now. At the same time, we still have so some big changes coming in the next couple of years and the Blog will help to share some of those changes as well. We hope that it feels fun and intelligent for everyone involved.”

The neighborhood market, which is open from 7am to 10pm daily, has been serving the university and downtown crowds since 1919. One can only hope that it will be around to satisfy pizza cravings for another hundred years.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
