Tucson Tamale To Open Third Location in Former Jax Kitchen

Tucson Tamale To Open Third Location in Former Jax Kitchen

Jul 1, 20141 min read

In an effort to meet growing demand, Tucson Tamale owners Todd and Sherry Martin have announced plans to open a third location in the fall of 2014. The new location will be in the former Jax Kitchen, at 7286 North Oracle Road near Ina Rd.

This marks the second opening for Tucson Tamale in one year and their third location. Tucson Tamale’s east side location on Tanque Verde opened in January.

“We didn’t expect to open a third space until at least 2015,” said Todd Martin. “But as requests from our northwest customers kept increasing, we realized our opportunity to serve them might be sooner than we expected. We’re so excited to meet and serve this community of Tucson.”

The new location will offer dine-in, pick-up and off-site catering to the surrounding neighborhoods.

“Just like our other locations, we will be rolling tamales fresh daily in the kitchen,” said Martin. “Guests will even be able to watch the kitchen in action from the glass window in the dining room.”

Stay tuned for updates about the grand opening slated for October.

At Tucson Foodie, we’re pretty excited about this – especially that open kitchen where we can watch the magic happen.
