Every year, Women’s History Month commemorates the celebration of the vital role that women play, and here locally, there are plenty of ways to spread your appreciation.
One of the ways you can show your support is by heading down to Fourth Avenue — or downtown —and visiting one of the women-owned restaurants by Wednesday, March 31.
The Historic Fourth Avenue Coalition is hosting a raffle for those who spend $10 or more at participating businesses, and the grand prize is a package worth more than $600.
It’s sort of like a fun scavenger hunt that helps local businesses, and then there’s a chance you can get rewarded in the end. Although, the real prize is getting to sink your teeth into the amazing grub found along Fourth Avenue and in the downtown area.
The raffle cards will be available at most of the participating merchants, or you can send copies of your receipts to hfacartandevents@gmail.com.

More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating.
