Kiwami Ramen
Owner Amane Shakuchi drew on her architecture studies from a Tokyo university to transform a former Jack in the Box on Speedway Boulevard into a striking sit-down ramen restaurant. The word “kiwami” translates roughly to “extreme,” and the renovated interior lives up to the name, with abundant artwork, light wood tones, and a giant bonsai sculpture anchoring the community table at the center of the space. Kiwami Ramen centers its menu on tonkotsu-based ramen, offering several house varieties including shiro, aka, and kuro alongside miso, shoyu, curry, and vegetable options. A tsukemen dipping noodle dish also appears among the main courses. Appetizers and rice bowls, including poke and char siu options, round out the menu.
