On November 8, a Masterblender will be cold pressing olives into extra virgin olive oil with a mobile milling machine, just for you. Where is this magic happening? Right in La Encantada’s courtyard.

Queen Creek Olive Mill Marketplace is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday, November 8 from 11 am-4 pm. Owners Perry and Brenda Rea, along with Masterblender Perry Rea (we’re sensing a theme) have invited local vendors Valley Honey, Urban Oven, Peanut Butter Americano and Janet E. Taylor of The Green SouthWest cookbook to help.

Guests will be able to taste fresh oil straight from the mobile milling machine, and the first 60 guests will get a mini bottle of the Tuscan Estate Balanced Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Queen Creek Olive Mill is Arizona’s only producer of EVOO. The Rea family started by planting 1,000 olive trees in Queen Creek, Arizona in 2001.

If you can’t make it to La Encantada, you can visit Queen Creek for tours touching upon sustainable farming, olive tree varieties, harvesting, the milling process and the health benefits of olive oil.

The Olive Mill has an on-site eatery serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, weekend live entertainment, wine tastings, product samplings, and tastings by local product vendors. In addition, the Queen Creek Olive Mill features monthly events and festivals like the San Tan Artists Show on November 23.

The store is located at La Encantada Shopping Mall, 2905 E. Skyline Drive, Suite #167. For more information on the Olive Mill visit www.QueenCreekOliveMill.com.
