What’s better than watching the ball drop at midnight in Times Square? Um…how about watching a 15′ tall TACO drop at Hotel Congress right here in Tucson?
Hotel Congress is determined to bring Times Square to Tucson with a southwestern twist. What the taco is made of is unclear (all-natural, local, organic paper mache?), but regardless, what more could a Tucsonan ask for than a 15′ taco?
In true Hotel Congress fashion, the taco is only the tip of the iceberg for the big New Years Eve fiesta. Starting at 8 p.m., guests will have access to a free photo booth, the Tequila Cantina, and three stages of live entertainment to last the whole night. Performers include Sergio Mendoza Y La Orkesta, The Zsa Zsas, Strange Family Circus, DJ Andrew Shuta and PC Party, Tom Heavy and the Partymakers and Neon Eon. Ticket holders also receive a champagne toast and complimentary party favors.
You still have a chance to snag tickets for $15 until December 24. Starting on December 25Â NYE tickets are $25 until they sell out, which Congress expects they will.
If you waited to buy tickets the hotel room packages have already sold out.  The lucky few who’ve already made reservations are receiving Hotel Congress merchandise, special party favors, champagne, and more. Good luck next year.
If you’re looking for something a little more high-end for your NYE celebrations, Hotel Congress will have the VIP Room going in Copper Hall. Tickets are $125 and are limited to 100.
Guests will enjoy food & cocktail butler service, a champagne toast, hosted bar with specialty cocktails, party favors, and a private entrance.
