To celebrate, and to thank all of their patrons, Falora is extending Vino & Vinyl Hour, in which guests who bring in a record to spin on the vintage turntable get a free bottle of Chianti with their pie & greens. The hour, which will extend to all day, runs from March 1 through 5.

Find Falora at 3000 E Broadway in the historic Joesler Village, open daily 4-9pm, call them; 520 325 9988, or on the web at falora.com.

Welcome Back, Abbey Burger

Metzger Family Restaurants has brought back the Abbey Burger, the local favorite from the restaurant of the same name that has closed. The burger which features bacon jam, caramelized onions, and aged cheddar cheese on an English muffin, is now on the menu at MFR’s New England inspired restaurant, Jackson Tavern.

Llove Those Llamas… Empanadas, That Is…

Mamma Llama Empanadas are back in action at Tucson Tamale Company. Mamma Llama was known for bringing the best empanadas both traditional and creative to the palates of Tucson folks for over a decade, but unfortunately closed their doors in 2012.

“Kris (Masalsky) and Vicki (Sims) do with empanadas what we do with tamales, and I am so excited we’ve found a way to partner with them to bring their delicious fare back to the Tucson market,” said Tucson Tamale owner Todd Martin.

Kris Masalsky and Vicki Sims will be handing out empanada samples at each of the three Tucson Tamale locations from 1pm until 3pm on March 1 at 7159 E Tanque Verde Rd; on March 8 at 7286 N Oracle Rd; and on March 22 at 2545 E Broadway Blvd. On March 1, March 8 and March 22 Customers can also take advantage of buy-one-get-one-free packages of empanadas when the samples are being doled out (limit 2 free packages).
