After a successful summer series, aptly titled Travel the World at Hacienda del Sol, the resort’s culinary team has decided to continue offering the special dining experiences through the remainder of the year.
Australia and New Zealand, the South of France, and the Pacific Northwest have all been crossed off the list. Coming up: a venture to Europe with stops in Spain and Italy, and finally looping back around to Mexico City.
Each destination includes a 5-course menu, carefully prepared after in-depth study of the regional cuisine and served for one night only.

“These dinners are exciting for us in the kitchen,” said Executive Chef Bruce Yim. “It is a chance for our team to pitch their ideas and take the best of the best.”
Once the menu is set, beverage manager John Kulikowski and his team carefully select the regional wines that will enhance each course.
Each Travel the World evening begins with passed hors D’oeuvres and aperitifs at 6:30pm, until all guests are seated at 7pm sharp. As each course is delivered, Chef Yim and Kulikowski announce and describe the course and pairings. Finally, the dinner is capped off with a regional dessert and wine created by Pastry Chef Amanda Prewitt.
Each guest will also go home with a gift bag.
Cost is $95 per person, $65 without wine pairings. Maximum seating for this event is 60. Because this is a sell-out event, early reservations are recommended.
