If you simply can’t wait to show off your Halloween costume, head downtown to Cartel Coffee’s Broadway location tonight at 6pm.

Cartel is hosting the ultimate Halloween Extravaganza & Open Mic until 11pm to kick off Halloweekend. In addition to a costume contest, there will also be happy hour beer prices all night long, the Big Bad Wolf food truck serving up sandwiches and wings, a pumpkin carving craft area, and, in true extravaganza fashion, a lot of music.

The winner of the best costume (or winners, if you go the couple’s costume route), is an AeroPress, a convenient full immersion brewing device that’s perfect for trips and camping, and Cartel’s new Backpacker bag that was designed to carry the AeroPress and brewing equipment.

For those of us that can’t get enough of the coffee shop’s pastry excellence, there will be Halloween-themed pastries to go with barista Jake Reyes’ coffee creations.
