4th Avenue Delicatessen, 421 N. 4th Ave., will start offering free lunch delivery Tuesday, March 7.

Lunch delivery hours will be 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Our goal is to be up and running with delivery until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday by August 2017, when the fall semester starts at UA,” said Austin Counts, owner of 4th Avenue Delicatessen.

The delivery radius will reach Broadway Boulevard and Congress Street south, Euclid Avenue to the east, Speedway Boulevard to the north, and Granada Avenue to the west. By August, the boundary is planned to expand east to Campbell Avenue to include the University of Arizona.

“We’re also starting catering and school lunches and continuing on with our pre-wrapped sandwiches we sell for resale at Tap and Bottle, Borderlands Brewing, Yellow Brick Coffee, Tucson Hop Shop and The Loft,” Counts said.

While the increased daytime focus is good news, the final 3 a.m. night will be on Friday, March 17. New operating hours will be 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon – 5 p.m. Sunday.
