One of southern Arizona’s wine regions will soon add a brewery when Copper Brothel Brewery opens in late 2017.

Robert and Cheryl Jesser moved with their daughter Samantha from Colorado to the Sonoita area in 2013. Fast-forward to 2017 and the Jessers announced they will open the brewery in the fourth quarter of this year.

The trio will break ground with local officials at 3112 Hwy 83, just south of the crossroads of Highways 82 and 83 at 2 p.m. on June 23.

Cheryl co-owns the brewery with Samantha, who is also the brewmaster. The space will include a full-service restaurant with full bar, pub fare, and barbecue from a head manager and resident pitmaster. Guests on the patio will be treated to a sweeping view of the Santa Rita, Mustang, and Whetstone mountain ranges.

A light blonde ale, a hoppy blonde ale, a citrus pale ale, a fruity IPA, a red kölsch, and an oatmeal stout are among the first beers scheduled for release.

For more information, call (520) 405-6721. Keep up with Copper Brothel Brewery on Facebook.
