The wait is over — BOCA Tacos y Tequila announced they are relocating to the space of Fourth Avenue’s Delectables Restaurant & Catering at 533 N. 4th Ave. The tentative opening will take place in late July or the beginning of August.
“We were looking at two locations on Fourth,” said Maria Mazon, owner and chef of BOCA. “Someone who knew Donna said she might be wanting to sell. I knocked on her door and approached her and everything was right.”
The space won’t undergo major renovations, but Mazon will be adding some BOCA touches. Additionally, parking will be slightly improved with ten parking spots in the back.
With triple the amount of space, BOCA will expand their menu offerings with a chef’s board, weekly soups, salads, and a weekend special.
“I’m excited to showcase Mexican cuisine,” Mazon said. “Not just going to be a taqueria anymore.”
Guacamole fans can squeal in excitement — Mazon will create daily guacamole variations just like she does with her famous salsas. Wasabi guacamole, anyone?
The location at 828 E. Speedway Blvd. will close 8 p.m. at July 30.
“I’m cooking a spaghetti dinner for the team after and we’re gonna cry,” Mazon said.
