East Tucson Cajun restaurant Don’s Bayou permanently closed its doors on July 2.

The Don’s Bayou Facebook page announced the following:

After 7 1/2 yrs Don’s Bayou is closing in order for the land lord to redevelop the site into a strip mall. I’d be willing to open elsewhere in Tucson if I can find appropriate partnership, otherwise will move on. I’m still available for catering and private parties. Look for updates on Facebook or contact me at donsbayou1@gmail.com for business opportunities.
Thank you for your patronage, Don and Bleu.

Don’s Bayou built a following with their Louisiana crawfish boils, gator bites, and morning beignets and coffee.

Keep up with Don’s Bayou on Facebook.
